About Solar & Energy Gain

The SEG CIC Purpose

Why We Exist

At SEG, we believe energy transformation should be accessible to everyone. Many schools, social housing providers and care organisations face high energy costs and ageing buildings that are difficult to heat efficiently. By making advanced renewable, retrofit and regeneration solutions available at no or little cost, we help communities cut costs, reduce carbon and create warmer, more resilient spaces.

Our work goes beyond renewable generation, it’s about conserving energy too. From solar and energy storage to insulation and fabric upgrades, we’re tackling the full picture of energy efficiency so organisations can spend less on bills and more on what really matters.

Our Mission

To make renewable energy, insulation and building retrofit solutions accessible and affordable to educational institutions, social housing providers, care homes and communities without financial barriers.

Our Vision

A future where every organisation can lower costs, conserve energy, and reinvest savings into education, housing and community wellbeing creating long-term social and environmental benefit.

Greener, warmer learning environments

Social Housing

Reduced fuel poverty and improved living standards

Care Homes

More comfortable, energy-secure spaces for residents

Communities

Long-term regeneration and energy independence

Reinvesting in the Future

SEG CIC operates on a circular model of community benefit. Any revenue-generating schemes, such as those involving energy trading, are structured so that once the funded asset has been repaid, it is gifted to SEG CIC. These assets and revenues are then reinvested to fund new renewable, retrofit and regeneration projects, ensuring the benefits continue to grow and reach more communities over time.

This sustainable funding approach means that every project completed through SEG CIC not only saves money and energy today but also helps power the next wave of community improvements tomorrow.
